Last updated on June 26th, 2026. These Terms and Conditions govern all purchases, custom orders, and interactions with our products and services. By placing an order or engaging with our site, you agree to the following terms:

Product Integrity and Craftsmanship

Each Stout and Saw piece is handcrafted using natural materials. Variations in grain, color, and texture are inherent. Wood movement, knots, and minor imperfections are expected. Finishes may vary slightly due to lighting, wood type, and application.

Orders and Lead Times

All orders are made-to-order unless otherwise stated.

Non-custom orders are processed and shipped within 1-2 weeks.

Picture frame orders take 2 weeks plus shipping for delivery.

Orders of catalog furniture take 4-8 weeks to ship depending on size and complexity.

Orders on newly designed furniture may add 1-3 weeks of going back and forth on designs, on top of standard catalog lead time of 4-8 weeks.

Payment Terms

Non-custom orders, picture frames, and catalog furniture require 100% payment upfront. New furniture commissions require a 50% deposit to initiate production. Final balance is due prior to shipping. Payments are accepted via Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and Discover.

Custom Work

All custom orders require written approval of design specs. Changes after production begins may incur additional fees. Stout and Saw retains the right to photograph and share custom work unless otherwise agreed.

Shipping and Delivery

Delivery fees are calculated based on location and item size and weight. Stout and Saw is not liable for delays caused by third-party carriers.

Returns and Cancellations

I have a 30-day refund policy. Refunds on catalog furniture designs, custom frames, and commissioned new designs are available for items delivered damaged or defective. To request a refund, please contact us at (Wes at StoutAndSaw dot com) with your order number and reason for the refund. If approved, I will provide instructions for returning your package. Items returned without a refund request may not be accepted. Your refund will go back to your original payment method.

Warranty

Stout and Saw does not provide a warranty for the natural movement or characteristics of wood, as these are inherent to the material. However, I offer a limited 5-year manufacturer’s warranty covering any component or piece found to have defects in materials or craftsmanship, as determined by Stout and Saw. Warranty excludes damage from misuse, exposure to moisture, or unauthorized repairs.

Intellectual Property

All designs, images, and content on StoutAndSaw.com are the property of Stout and Saw. Reproduction or use without written consent is prohibited. Custom designs may be reused or adapted unless exclusivity is purchased.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Washington, DC
